The Official (only?) Livejournal Community for YOUR Miami Heat. A true staple in the Eastern Conference representing the beautiful city known as Miami.

and now YOUR eastern conference champions

The Heat have come a very long way, quite an interesting 18 year history the heat have had.

-Glen Rice's scoring.
-Harold Minor's dunking.
-The one year of Lamar Odom's slashing technique getting us to the playoffs (he carried us in 2003-2004)
-The rivalry with the Knicks
-Allan Houston
-Tim Hardaway's crossover
-Steve Smith
-Shaq
-Dwayne Wade's heroics.

We've been loyal fans to this young team, now a respected franchise.

Team Captain: Dwayne Wade

For those of you who do not know. Dwayne Wade and Lebron James are the next generation of basketball, both men are rising stars who in their youth have broken ankles, dunked and scored on the prime players of the NBA. Nowadays when we play NBA Live or 2K (I love 2K), we have to rewrite our playbooks for these guys...
